Position Overview:

cPanel Technical Analysts deliver premier world-class support. The Linux Technical Analyst performs a variety of tasks to improve the cPanel customer experience by analyzing both customer systems and support requests to identify opportunities for improvement of our software, as well as assisting in the resolution, guidance, and diagnosis of reported issues.

Salar Range: 22440 EUR (L1) -  27060 EUR (L2) annual brutto

Responsibilities:

• Technical Performance:

  • Practices the highest levels of competency, analysis, and documentation
  • Uses technical knowledge and expertise to diagnose issues on server environments when discovered or reported, while interacting with customers

• Maintains successful customer relationships by sustaining a feedback score of 9.20 or greater

• Maintains a high level of productivity reflective of the expectations set by the department handbook

• Files effective defect cases in relation to defects or improvements discovered during the investigation and analysis of an issue

• Contributes to company and department documentation and knowledge base efforts, both internally and externally

• Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Company

• Maintains a consistent, core daily schedule to ensure efficient operations

• Exemplifies the cPanel Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and Follow-Through

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of Linux/*nix/BSD system troubleshooting experience or practical application of knowledge, or a related certification (RHCE)
  • 1+ year of web hosting industry experience, or other similar work preferred
  • Mastery of web server-related technologies such as Web Servers (Apache, Nginx), MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, Mail Server Software (Exim, Dovecot, SpamAssassin, Mailman)
  • Adept at the configuration and troubleshooting of DNS services (Bind, PowerDNS), FTP services (PureFTPD, ProFTPD), Tomcat, and Security-related components (SSL)
  • Strong understanding of CentOS/RHEL and their package management tools (Yum & RPM), shell commands, basic bash scripting, and basic Linux (Linux CLI) security concepts.
  • Knowledge of php, Apache, LAMP stack environments, MySQL/MariaDB, cPanel, WHM, DNS, mailnode, Exim,and other packages from source.
  • Mastery of cPanel software, configuration and implementation.

Additional consideration for knowledge in:

  • Ability to configure and build RPM’s from source
  • Linux network troubleshooting/configuration. Routing tables, packet analysis, network interface configuration, port testing, firewall setup
  • Mastery of web host server-related technologies such as Litespeed, Varnish, as well as the configuration and troubleshooting of CloudLinux o Applying diffs using the patch utility

Customer Service Requirements - customer engagement skills which include:

  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and with sufficient detail while adapting communication according to the technical ability of the customer
  • Understanding that everything we communicate to the customer makes a difference in making the customer happy
  • Positive and friendly attitude, even when communicating with demanding customers, or customers lacking technical experience
  • Ability to acknowledge limits in knowledge and seek assistance proactively as-needed Travel - Occasional local and or overnight travel, some by air, specific to participation in training courses or company conferences, may be required 

Work Schedule:

  • cPanel is a 24/7 operation and nontraditional or extended hours (including weekends) may be required occasionally.
  • 5 working days with the shift from Tuesday - Saturday.
  • Able to work 7 am-15:30 EEST/ Bulgarian time = 8,5 hours include 30 mins lunch break
  • Work fully remote.
